Techniques and setting has become enthusiastically exciting this neighboring days. I discovered new things, suited my expectation and target. Here, I played with blurry point and bloom effect.

On a personal note, I have been busy in the past few days. This however will be temporary. This blog will be operating as usual with more interesting subjects starting next week, by god will.

Personal : Water Splash - Experiment 1

During this photography series I want to do a photo of water splash. The series however end up to be a minor failure. First it might happen due to the object thrown is rather small and thin. Despite the water level is calculatedly high. In order for a damage control, I tried to shake the cup and capture during the movement. Yet causing another call for another damage control.

Personal : A positive thinking pays off.

Present teach us to be smart and positive. I have been through storm and tsunami a few times growing up. Nothing blow a positive fire in me. Everyday I wake up, I purposed the journey to an adventure of finding and learning new things. Every time negative incident occur I cure it with laughter. Let it pass and make jokes out of it.

I sent my one and only transportation to workshop. Repairs and renew, as if life can be that simple and easy. It has been a week since I drive my car. Yet the value of appreciating lost send a greater means. I discover that I meet more friends. Old high school, homey-neighbor, old colleagues and distance friends were among the people who unfold an inner goodness in me.

Who wouldn't have thought that by driving you miss out a certain group of people. People that holds dearly and value your opinions as you value theirs. The group of people that give you a different sight of perspective. They thought us how to live life differently.

You would think that you have a crowd of friends. I'll say they are just a social companion. A needy and desperate moment would be a great test to know your friend. Here I state an example. A friend is in need for a ride, because his car was stuck in workshop. Who do you think he would call for help. I bet your answer would be a friend, yes. Then it would be a surprise to a non-believers that the call were answered by the least expected person.

Hey you, my fellow earthling, stay positive. Believe in things to turn out your way.

Ad : Pantene, Thailand

This is more a short film to me than an ad. The story is so touching, it makes me want to see it again, and again. If Thailand can make this kind of commercial I doubt that their film industry making small profits. Now I'm eager to find out who is the director, and whether there exist such talented director somewhere in Thailand, known to be poor-economically.

We came across countless artist come out with debut album. We listen repeatedly music greatness that never bore us. What else that we expected by the music industry to our demanding ears. We tend to be selective in term of vocal and music ability in general. Because we know that we can't bear to hear them all.

White Rabbits are American six-piece indie rock band based in Brooklyn, NY. The sound of their latest release 'percussion gun' is similar in drum at glance like 15steps, Khottal, Battles kind-ish. I start to prefer this kind of drum-beat instead of the boring and cliche drum-beat. Popular music have done it, as a new-batch and fresh why not come out with a different kind of sound.

They not only embrace the new-wave sound. But they pair it with a brilliant piece of set, created as 'percussion gun' official video clip.Directed by Andrew Droz Palermo. When you watch this video clip your senses become numb and you are drag to a magical planet of greatness.

1. How to get supplies (eg. album, camera, software, backdrop, etc.)

Internet will be the best sources to find supplies. With an easy excess to internet you can be able to go through forums, official websites and social networking. The trick is you need to put more than efforts but initiative.

2. How to get tips (eg. take photo, what equipment, etc.)

First of all, classes is available for those who want to learn about photography. Depend on how much you want to learn, then the cost will suit your demand. The best way is to learn by your self. This means through you own efforts and initiative, once again. By forcing and expanding something that is not come naturally will only result to wasting-time. Use a proper and established website to hunt for tips and tricks about photography. Look at the gallery and judge it by yourself.

Professional would hate people who in it to earn an easy money. Spoil the market and be selfish. Photography grew as a family. We share and learn by comparing photos.

3. How to charge (eg. wedding, commercial, model, etc.)

Price is a very sensitive topic when it come to business. We are here to earn money, not to lose it. To calculate how you should charge the work done and spending through out the process is a tedious job. To make it easy for you, here is a rough calculation done;

D3 = RM 15,000
1 Job = RM 1,000
15 Jobs = RM 15,000

Target now 15 jobs for a D3.

Utilities = RM 500 p/m (RM17 p/d)
Album cost = RM?
Fuel / Toll / Parking = RM?
Rent = RM?

per job up to 4 hours : RM 1,500 including album.

target 1 year = 365 days = RM 250,000
EXAMPLE For Wedding
1 month = 4 weekends = 12 days of work (fri, sat, sun)
1 year = 12 months = 48 weekends = 144 days of work
Target RM 250,000 / 144 days = RM 1,737 per job.

Company : Prayer for Muslim not approved

For my personal opinion, since I had an experience working with a non-muslim owned company. Most of Muslims including me, once in a while misused the advantages. We tend to used it as an excuse to wonder elsewhere and cheating our way out of working. Despite lack of professionalism, we tend to bend certain rules and go for a cigarrete break on top of slacking off after prayer.

On the other side, not giving the permission for Muslim to pray is way out of line. It is compulsory. In this case I think the company should reconsider and discuss with their Muslim staff a way to be more efficient in term of time-used, be considerate and understand the needs of both side.

News : Launched of Selangorkini and TVselangor

Selangor Mentri Besar Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim yesterday launched the state’s online television portal, TV Selangor (www.tvselangor.com) and official newspaper, Selangor Kini. Khalid said Selangor Kini had been in publication since last year but the distribution would be increased due to a higher demand. Now they moved to online version to meets the latest and most popular electronic publication medium.

This however will not be a mouthpiece of Pakatan Rakyat. It is only an easier access to information. If the public sense that the portal is biased, it will certainly effect its readership. The portal and state's efforts will tarnish the misleading news of government-controlled media viewers. The poral will shaken BN-controlled media even more when people have a various alternative source of news.
