News : Thailand first N1H1 case confirmed

Thailand on Tuesday confirmed its first case of N1H1 flu. The good news is the patient has recovered and there were no reports of more infections, Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva said.

Despite the small number of cases to date in Asia, health experts say the region cannot afford to be complacent after bouts of SARS and bird flu in recent years. Last week, health ministers from 13 Asian countries agreed in Bangkok to boost antiviral drug stockpiles and tighten surveillance against the virus, also known as swine flu.

I urged Malaysian to be aware and alert to any cases of infectious from neighboring country. This is a serious matter as it involve death.
